This networking event is open to all members of the UMD community! The panel features TTT graduates who are now medical students at Yale, a clinical research fellow at the University of Maryland Medical Center, and an MPH candidate in Health Equity. All of the panelists have engaged in significant health policy work and will be sharing their journeys and advice for students integrating public health policy work into medical and academic careers.

Join the UMD Stamp Gallery, Studio A, and the ARTiculate Narratives Project for a dynamic virtual artist talk with Mr. Wanyama Ogutu, MFA scholar at Kenyatta University. Discover how he extracts vibrant color from native Swahili plants and transforms them into powerful paintings that preserve cultural identity through creative expression. Then, step into the studio to mix and paint your own watercolor masterpiece using natural materials. Learn how to transform your environment into a sustainable, symbolic palette.

Empowering first-generation college students with the tools to take control of their financial future, this interactive workshop series covers budgeting basics, smart saving strategies, managing student loans, and building credit with confidence. Participants will leave with practical tips, resources, and a personalized plan to thrive financially throughout college and beyond.

Join Working Across the Divide, a dynamic panel discussion featuring leaders from media, academia, and social impact as they explore how to bridge divides through common ground, courageous conversations, and practical frameworks. This conversation will offer valuable insights on navigating differences, fostering understanding, and driving meaningful dialogue in today’s world.

We mourn the lives lost in our University of Maryland community and feel deeply that all Terrapins should be honored for their contributions to our campus. The university's fifth annual Memorial Celebration brings our community together to remember the lives of Maryland students, faculty, emeriti faculty, and staff who have passed. In joining together to remember, we mourn these recent losses as a community and lean on each other through this shared experience. 

This ceremony is symbolic of what it means to be part of the Terrapin family, and we encourage all members of our community to join us. This year's celebration will honor students, faculty, emeriti faculty, and staff who passed away from April 2024 through April 2025 while enrolled at or working for the university.
