Individual Meetings

Honors College admission staff members are available to meet with prospective students and families via individual Zoom appointments or by appointment in-person. Students can contact honorsadmissions@umd.edu to set up their individual appointment.

Host-A-Day/Virtual Hangouts

We’re so happy to see your interest in the University of Maryland’s Honors College. To still allow prospective students a chance to safely engage with current Honors students, we are offering two options to be paired with a current Honors student:

• In-person Host-A-Days (limited options) – an option to shadow a current student, attend their classes and get a day-in-the-life experience
• Virtual Honors Hangouts – chat one-on-one with a current Honors student to ask questions, get info and find out about the student experience at UMD

Please note: The Host-A-Day program is for students only. In addition, this program is not a campus tour or an overnight stay program.

Online Info Sessions

The Honors College admissions staff conducts virtual information sessions in September and October to provide insights into both the Honors College program and the admissions process. Additionally, in early February, tailored information sessions for our living-learning programs are offered, allowing invited students to explore specific programs of interest.
