Join us for the first event in the “Folding Identity: AAPI Zines in Conversation and Practice” series! “Folding Identity” aims to put AAPI DMV zinesters, faculty, and the UMD community in conversation and collaboration. Art-making and print culture are inseparable from the Asian American identity. What can zines do to keep the community alive?

Join them for a conversation, some food, and a zine workshop with DMV(-ish) zine artists Margaret Huey (@durianpunk) and Anthony Le (@vagabondzine), along with Dr. Rossina Zamora Liu as our faculty conversationalist, on Tuesday, September 29th. The first 45 minutes will be a discussion, then a break for some food, and finally, participants will spend an hour making zines together, led by the artists.
