The LGBTQ+ Equity Center invites you to join us for Quelcome: Fall Welcome Fest & Resource Fair on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 2:00–5:00 p.m. in the Stamp Student Union Grand Ballroom.

Since 2000, the Equity Center has hosted some version of this LGBTQ+-focused welcome for all UMD students, faculty, and staff. Quelcome’s enduring success comes from bringing together people from across campus for a festive and inclusive celebration of community, connection, and belonging. It is an opportunity to mark the start of the academic year, meet new people, and learn about LGBTQ+ programming, support, resources, education, and community-building opportunities across and beyond campus.

As a unit within Belonging & Community at UMD, the Equity Center shares in the university’s commitment to fostering a campus where people are treated with dignity, supported in their well-being, and able to find meaningful connection and belonging. Quelcome brings that commitment to life by creating a welcoming space where all students, faculty, and staff can build relationships and experience the strength of our campus community together.
