UMD FIMRC

Become a Member of FIMRC and Engage in Clinical Volunteering Experiences

The UMD Chapter of the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children (FIMRC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing healthcare access to low-resource and medically underserved families around the world. They strive to contribute to our global community through the four pillars of their mission: advocacy, fundraising, volunteering, and development. Some of their opportunities include volunteering at clinics in FIMRC project sites around the world, fundraising to support service initiatives at FIMRC sites, engaging in health education advocacy and giving back through local community service projects.

This semester, FIMRC is planning a winter break service trip to volunteer with Project Alajuelita, a FIMRC on-site initiative in Costa Rica. They will also raise money to purchase powder-free gloves for Project Bududa, a FIMRC initiative based in Uganda.

If you are interested in joining FIMRC, please fill out this interest form and keep a lookout in your email for more updates.
