The General Honors program is redesigned and becomes the University Honors program
The University Honors program moves to Anne Arundel Hall, the new Honors Living-Learning Center

Latino Honors Caucus is founded by University Honors students

The Honors College convocation ceremony takes place at the start of each semester to welcome students to campus, and to inaugurate the beginning of their Honors journey at the University of Maryland.
