FLAME’s mission is to empower the next generation of STEM leaders by supporting the academic, social and emotional development of students from underrepresented groups through experiment-based after-school mentorship programs. The program includes weekly after-school science lessons with hands-on experiments and in-depth discussions. Their vision is to create a mentorship pipeline for the students of PG County that supplements common core education, sparks curiosity in the STEM fields and allows students to apply their knowledge outside the classroom.
