Come out on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 12 p.m., for a lecture and teach-in, facilitated by Morgan State professor, Dr. Jared Ball. Dr. Ball will be using his critically acclaimed book, "The Myth of Black Buying Power: Media, Race, Economics," as the centerpiece for his lecture and teach-in. His book dispels myriad myths and claims regarding the ongoing economic plight of Black America.
In honor of the 100th anniversary of Black History Month, the organizers invite campus community members to the next Hope, Healing, and Mobilizing Against Hate session on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 12:30 p.m.–3:30 p.m., with lunch provided from 12:30–1:00 p.m. (no pork or seafood will be served). The conference will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Adele H. Stamp Student Union in the Atrium Room.
