Join the FREE Global FEWture Alliance Annual Symposium at the Stamp Student Union, April 23-24! Faculty, students, and staff with interest in any aspect of the Food-Energy-Water nexus, climate change, and global public health, are welcome to present short talks and posters. No presentation is required to attend, and registrants will enjoy free food, drinks, and exciting conversations with new contacts.

Contemplative Learning and Living (CL&L), a graduate student organization, and the International Education Policy Student Board are thrilled to host Seeds of Change: A Film Series on Sustainability and Alternatives* in April, featuring three films: Purpose: A Wellbeing Economies Film (4/16), Water Is Love: Ripples of Regeneration (4/23), The Seeds of Vandana Shiva (4/30).

The Visibility Project: Round Table Event

The Visibility Project is hosting its very first round table discussion on April 23 from 6-7pm in Symons 0215. The Visibility Project is dedicated to spotlighting invisible chronic illness. Come out to learn about diabetes, the illness they are highlighting this semester, and engage in some fun case studies led by Terps4change.

Contemplative Learning and Living (CL&L), a graduate student organization, and the International Education Policy Student Board are thrilled to host Seeds of Change: A Film Series on Sustainability and Alternatives* in April, featuring three films: Purpose: A Wellbeing Economies Film (4/16), Water Is Love: Ripples of Regeneration (4/23), The Seeds of Vandana Shiva (4/30).

The first two screenings will be followed by a Q&A session with representative(s) from the respective production team, and the last screening will be followed by a discussion among ourselves as a wrap-up of the series. A key objective of this initiative is to spark interdisciplinary dialogues around sustainability and sustainable development.

Touchdown for Mental Health

The Charles R. Drew Pre-Health Society is hitting the field to raise awareness for mental health. Proceeds will go to the UMD mental health support fund. Every play, every cheer, and every dollar makes a difference.

Visibility Project End-of-Semester GBM

The Visibility Project’s End-of-the-Semester GBM will be on May 7 from 6–7 PM in JMZ 1120. Come by for free pizza and help the Visiblity Project: (1) Recap the semester; (2) Choose an invisible chronic illness to spotlight next semester, and (3) Plan future education and community service initiatives.

Good Sex (Ed) Workshop

Participate in a transformative workshop that will empower you to think differently about sexual culture and sex ed at UMD. The event is hosted by students in the University Honors course, HNUH288U: The Body Knows: Creating Healthy Intimacy on College Campuses, as a culmination of their coursework this semester.
