Jump Trading at Startup Shell
Interested in learning about the traits of highly effective teams and individuals? Looking to gain insight from someone who has worked at Facebook, Google, and a past startup?
Startup Shell is hosting Steve Shaw, an engineer at Jump Trading, to talk to the community about the traits of highly effective teams and individuals at failed startups and bloated big tech companies.
Steve is currently an engineer at Jump Trading working on network performance engineering. He’s worked at Facebook when it was cool, Google and a failed B-round startup. He will do an autopsy of how said startup failed to find product market fit, technology and organizational successes/pitfalls, scaling challenges, and what tech and behaviors are useful to borrow (or avoid) from big tech.
When: Wednesday, September 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. EDT
Where: Startup Shell, 4462 Stadium Drive, Room 1101
