Individual Meetings

Honors College admission staff members are available to meet with prospective students and families via individual Zoom appointments or by appointment in-person. Students can contact honorsadmissions@umd.edu to set up their individual appointment.

Host-A-Day/Virtual Hangouts

We’re so happy to see your interest in the University of Maryland’s Honors College. In the spring, newly invited students are offered a chance to engage with current Honors students. We offer two options to be paired with a current Honors student: 

• In-person Host-A-Days (limited options) – an option to shadow a current student, attend their classes and get a day-in-the-life experience
• Virtual Honors Hangouts – chat one-on-one with a current Honors student to ask questions, get info and find out about the student experience at UMD

Please fill out our Host-a-Day form to be matched with a current student.

Please note: The Host-A-Day program is for students only. In addition, this program is not a campus tour or an overnight stay program.

Online Info Sessions

The Honors College admissions staff hosts virtual information sessions each October to provide insights into both the Honors College program and the admission process.
