Kate Spanos serves as the Assistant Director of Communications for the Honors College. She is also a faculty fellow with the Honors Humanities program. Dr. Spanos directs and implements the public representation of the Honors College in print and digital media. In addition, she is responsible for storytelling and the Honors College website.
She is also a dancer and dance scholar with a Ph.D. from UMD's School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies. She has studied dance in Ireland, Brazil, and the Caribbean island of Montserrat. She is also co-founder and board president of EducArte, an arts education non-profit based in College Park. www.thekatespanos.com
