Join a dynamic interdisciplinary panel discussion on "AI and Anti-Black Racism" on Tuesday, December 5, from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Stamp Juan Ramon Jimenez Room 2208. The Grand Challenges Anti-Black Racism Initiative is hosting six panelists: Dr. Sheena Erete from College of Information Studies, Dr. Lauren Rhue from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, Dr. Rachel Rudinger from College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences; Dr. Psyche Williams-Forson from College of Arts and Humanities, Dr. Long Doan and Dr. Rashawn Ray (moderator) both from the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. 

Night Bazaar hosted by AWARE

Enjoy a night full of diverse MENA (Middle Eastern and North African) cultures, engaging and beautiful performances, and rich and delicious food at AWARE's Night Bazaar. This event aims to provide a journey into the various cultures and traditions of the MENA countries through unique interactive, educational, and fun activities, performances, and entertainment from this region of the world. Admission to this event is free and all are welcome to attend (the event is open to community members outside the UMD community). There is no dress code, but cultural outfits are encouraged and welcomed.

The UnLocked Project: Support Group for Students with Incarcerated Loved Ones

Do Good Accelerator 7878 Diamondback Dr, College Park

The UnLocked Project, founded by a child of a formerly incarcerated parent, aims to support the well-being of other children of incarcerated parents in the DMV area while also raising awareness of their unique life experiences. On Sunday, November 19, The UnLocked Project hosts their first support group event for students with incarcerated loved ones/parents to come together and talk about their experiences, as well as be provided with financial and educational resources.
