You're invited to the annual Social Justice Alliance Workshop hosted by the BSU-UMD Social Justice Alliance and 2nd Lt. Richard W. Collins III Foundation! The theme of this interactive workshop is “Coalition Building: Healing from the Trauma of Racism” and will be led by Dr. Tony Richard.

The UM Scholars Program enables outstanding University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) undergraduates to become engaged in summer research projects led by top faculty in the University of Maryland School of Medicine at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). The program also introduces students to the M.D. degree program and various other graduate programs.
On Monday, October 30, Dr. Greg Carey and Dr. Brett Hassel will hold an info session about the program for interested students in the Biosciences Research Building, Room 1103.
All UMD students are invited to a town hall event with the College Park mayor and council candidates on Monday, October 30 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in advance of the November election. Students will have the opportunity to interact directly with council candidates from all four districts as well as the mayor who is running unopposed for re-election.
It will be held in Thurgood Marshall Hall (TMH) 0301, and food and drink will be provided! This event is co-sponsored by the Student Liaisons to the City Council, University Honors, the Student Government Association, and the Department of Communication.
