Are you interested in working with Honors students across the different living-learning programs and being a resource for prospective students who want to learn more about the Honors College? The Honors College is committed to recruiting a group of academically talented, diverse, and unique students to campus each year and our current students are a powerful resource for attracting prospective students to apply to the University.
This gathering will bring together HxA Campus Communities from Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina, and welcomes faculty, staff, and students from any institution of higher education across the region—whether you're already an HxA member steeped in the HxA way or just “HxA curious.”
The Mental Health Coalition invites you to Mental Health Awareness Week Sept. 29 – Oct. 3. There will be a full week of FUN and FREE programming to explore and improve mental health. Now, more than ever, is the right time to improve your mental health, celebrate self-care, and STAMP out stigma. With a variety of events involving plant-decorating, mental health screenings, celebrity Q&A, crafts, and more—there is something for everyone! And don’t forget to check out the Self-Care Fair with therapy dogs, inflatables, massages, giveaways, free food, and self-care activities.
Join us for our Honors College Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, September 30, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Anne Arundel! We will have pre-scooped flavors from the Maryland Dairy (including dairy-free and kosher options). Take a break to enjoy some ice cream with friends.
This event brings students together for small group discussions on a variety of topics. The goal is not to force agreement, but to explore diverse perspectives and help participants better understand one another, even in disagreement. Dinner will be provided.
This event, hosted by Heterodox Academy’s Bridge UMD chapter in partnership with the Robert H. Smith School of Business, will take place on Monday, September 30 at 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Edward St. John Learning & Teaching Center, Room 1215.
Terp Thon is a year-long student-run philanthropy organization that benefits Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC. Their efforts culminate in a 12-hour Dance Marathon in March every year. Learn more about Terp Thon at this year's Fall Fest in Hornbake Plaza.

Take a moment to rewind and recharge at the Fall Break Reset on Tuesday, October 14 from 4–6 PM on McKeldin Mall! Come enjoy free sandwiches from Panera and sports equipment provided by RecWell (including soccer balls, footballs, yard pong, frisbees, and spike ball). This is a relaxed, no-RSVP-needed event designed to help you reconnect with fellow students and enjoy some time outside. Supported/sponsored by the Student Government Association (SGA) and the Division of Student Affairs.
