All UMD students are invited to a town hall event with the College Park mayor and council candidates on Monday, October 30 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in advance of the November election. Students will have the opportunity to interact directly with council candidates from all four districts as well as the mayor who is running unopposed for re-election.

It will be held in Thurgood Marshall Hall (TMH) 0301, and food and drink will be provided! This event is co-sponsored by the Student Liaisons to the City Council, University Honors, the Student Government Association, and the Department of Communication.

The TerrapinSTRONG Symposium is an opportunity for faculty and staff to learn from each other about diversity, equity, inclusion, justice and belonging (DEIJB) topics. The annual campus conference day provides space to bridge the work of scholars, researchers and practitioners to create greater collaboration and to provide insights from all sides that may inform our work.

Terp Thon is a year-long student-run philanthropy organization at UMD that benefits Children’s National Hospital in Washington DC. Days of Miracles is Terp Thon’s largest fundraiser and campus engagement push of the Fall semester, and it will take place from November 15th - 17th.
