• Giving Day 2024

    Every year in early March, the University of Maryland community comes together for a 24-hour fundraising event. Students, alums, faculty, staff, parents, families and friends join in on the largest day of giving because when thousands of Terps come together, the possibilities are endless.

    Our goal is simple: raise critical funding and engage our community to move UMD Fearlessly Forward. Go Terps!

    New Yorker staff writer and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Hua Hsu will be in College Park for a public reading and conversation on March 7 at 5 p.m. in Tawes Hall as this year's Spring Speaker for UMD's Honors Humanities program. There will be a book signing following the event with copies of Stay True available for purchase through DC's Solid State Books.

  • Terp Thon Dance Marathon

    Dance Marathon is coming to College Park! Join Terp Thon on March 9 from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. in the Armory to raise funds and awareness for Children’s National Hospital in Washington D.C. Terp Thon’s Dance Marathon will be a day full of dancing, activities, food, Miracle Kids (past or current patients at the hospital), and FUN! You do not need to dance or be a good dancer to attend.

The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is a research powerhouse with great clinical training and welcomes applications from students residing outside of Pennsylvania. The program is a part of the University of Pittsburgh’s PSTP, a 5-year medical school program that adds a year of basic or translational research to the regular Pitt Med experience.
