The PrePAIR Connections will offer a variety of resources to help you navigate campus physically and your life on campus as a UMD student. The event will take place on Thursday, November 16, from 5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Please RSVP by November 5.

We will be serving Maryland Dairy ice cream from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (or until supplies last) in the Anne Arundel Multipurpose Room. We will have non-dairy and kosher options available.
We will also open up Room 0120 for group study from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with cocoa and cookies being served from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. (or until supplies last).
All Honors students have swipe access to Anne Arundel Hall.

He grew up in Prince George’s County, Maryland, graduated from the University of Maryland in 2008, has performed all over North and South America and has gone on to have an amazing career in Europe.

Using excerpts from the book "The Invisible Ache: Black Men Identifying Their Pain and Reclaiming Their Power" by Courtney B. Vance and Dr. Robin L. Smith as a springboard for discussion, we will hear from experts as we consider the mental health needs of Black men and the effect that it can have on families and communities. The discussion will also include testimonials and reflect on the benefits of focusing on Black men's mental health and the risks if we don't.

New Yorker staff writer and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Hua Hsu will be in College Park for a public reading and conversation on March 7 at 5 p.m. in Tawes Hall as this year's Spring Speaker for UMD's Honors Humanities program. There will be a book signing following the event with copies of Stay True available for purchase through DC's Solid State Books.
Global Communities Student Association (GCSA) is partnering with Honors Global Communities (HGLO) to host this year's Cultural Explosion. This event showcases cultural talent around campus.
