Hope, Healing, Mobilizing: Lessons from Trans Liberation Movements
The Hope, Healing & Mobilizing Against Hate Committee invites members of the University of Maryland community to attend its next session on November 20, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with lunch provided. As has long been the tradition for campus events at the University of Maryland, everyone is welcome to participate.
This session marks the committee’s sixth gathering since February 2024 in a continuing series designed to strengthen community, capacity, and connection among students, staff, and faculty who center racial and social justice in their work and daily lives. The event will provide opportunities to build trust across campus coalitions, express care and solidarity, break out of silos, enhance capacity for racial justice initiatives, and emphasize the importance of caring for one’s body and well-being.
The program will feature a keynote and facilitated dialogue focused on Lessons from Trans Liberation Movements.
