Professor Peter B. Sunderland, faculty mentor for Gemstone Team EXO and professor of Fire Protection Engineering, has received the A. James Clark School of Engineering’s 2025–2026 Student Competition Advisor Award. Recognized for empowering students through hands-on, team-based design, Professor Sunderland helped guide Team EXO to First Place in Design and Second Place Overall at the 2024 ASTM International Exo Games.
