The Office of Student Orientation and Transition offers students an opportunity to apply to serve in several student leadership roles on campus. You can apply to be an Orientation Advisor, Orientation Office Assistant and/or a Teaching Assistant and assist in supporting new students in their transition to the University of Maryland, College Park.
The Office of Student Orientation and Transition is a dynamic office with a strong, dedicated, and energetic student staff. The Office of Student Orientation and Transition staff has the unique opportunity to impact the lives of more than 10,000 new students, parents, and family members annually! Currently, they are looking to hire 2026 Orientation Staff who will work Summer Orientation 2026 and Winter Orientation 2026-2027.
