Register for the Terrapin Leadership Institute

Registration for the Terrapin Leadership Institute (TLI) is now open and closes on September 20. It is FREE for students to participate!

TLI is a peer-to-peer program, facilitated by students for students. [Fall Only] Foundations Track (6 weeks): Participants will explore and develop foundational leadership skills such as leadership styles, ethics, identity, collaboration, and communication. Perfect for emerging leaders who want to discover and/or refine their leadership philosophy and practice! No prior formal leadership experience necessary. Program starts the week of September 24th during the evening time and ends the week of November 5th.

Session Topics:

  • [Week 1] Leadership Introduction & Ethics
  • [Week 2] Leadership Styles & Strengths
  • [Week 3] Leadership & Identity
  • [Week 4] Communication
  • [Week 5] Collaboration
  • [Week 6] Goal Setting & Philosophy

Student participants will pick a day/track of their choosing where they will meet with their cohort:

  • Track 1: Tuesdays 5:00PM – 6:30PM
  • Track 2: Wednesdays 5:30PM – 7PM
  • Track 3: Thursdays 5:30PM – 7PM

Students who participate and complete their track will receive:

  1. Certificate of completion
  2. Letter of recommendation
  3. Free RecWell challenge course experience
  4. Opportunity to network with other student leaders
  5. MLEAD T-Shirt
