Join College Mentors for Kids

College Mentors for Kids at the University of Maryland chapter is a nonprofit organization that pairs college students with elementary school children in a mentorship program designed to inspire and support young students. Through one-on-one mentoring relationships and engaging campus activities, we aim to foster academic, social, and emotional growth in our mentees, meeting with local elementary school children on our campus once a week.

Leadership role applications are due by September 13th, and regular mentor applications are due by September 21st. Interviews for selected candidates will begin on September 23rd, with decisions being sent out by September 27th.

The first mentoring activities with Whittier Elementary will start on October 8th, and with Riverdale Elementary on October 9th. The program will continue through the first week of May, with no activities scheduled during Winter and Spring breaks.
