Current UMD undergraduates at all levels and UMD alumni who will be applying to grad school NEXT fall 2023, as well as current first-year UMD grad students planning to apply next Fall 2023, are invited to join our ELMS resource site.
Recorded NSF Info Session #1 – Introduction: This session will introduce you to the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship program: what it is, who it’s for, application components, how it’s judged, and how you can prepare to apply effectively – whether you’re applying this fall or in a few years.
Recorded NSF Info Session #2 – Writing the Essays: This session will discuss the two required essays – an intellectual/personal statement, and a mini-research proposal. We’ll cover what information needs to be in the essays, as well as strategies for writing them in a timely and effective way.
Eligibility: You must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident to apply for the NSF graduate research fellowship. You must be applying for or enrolled in your first or second year of graduate studies in an NSF-supported field in Fall 2023. Other eligibility criteria may apply—learn more here.
