The Washington Program serves some of the nation’s best and brightest African American male college students. The young men participate in a rigorous two-summer experience that includes high-level internships in their fields of interest, an intensive academic seminar, professional development workshops and a wide variety of social activities.
More than 250 young men have participated in the Institute and have gone on to careers in politics, law, medicine, ministry, academia, tech and business. Alumni include five Rhodes scholars (including two this year), two Fulbright scholars, numerous PhDs, MDs, JDs, MBAs and more.
Through these talented and committed young men, the Institute is impacting hundreds of thousands of men, women and children in the United States and beyond.
