This grant supports departmental honors thesis research across campus:

  • Kenna Costello (GEMS / Biology Honors Program), project: Development of the lateral bundle, a putative stem cell migration guide, during annelid regeneration.
  • Alex Emmert (Linguistics Honors Program), project: Modal force acquisition in young English learners.
  • William Finch (Biology Honors Program), project: Investigating Early-Life Social Affiliations, Associated Neural Systems and the Effects of Isolation in a Cichlid Fish.
  • Xiang Luo (Neuroscience Honors Program), project: Mitochondrial Morphology in Orbitofrontal Cortical Neurons During Incubation of Oxycodone Craving.
  • Bhavya Nileshkumar Patel (Aerospace Honors Program), project: Collision Avoidance Maneuvers.
  • Savannah Robbins (Psychology Honors Program), project: Best Practices for Responding to Grieving Students: Evaluating a Resource for Faculty.
  • Bhargav Srinivasan (GEMS / Entomology Honors Program), project: Analyzing copy number variation in whole genome sequencing data of Helicoverpa zea to find evolutionary mechanisms of pesticide resistance.

  • Akash Raghu (IBH / Biology Honors Program), project: Exploring the Relationship between Muscle Cell Area on Weight in Rainbow Trout.

David Goff Scholarship

This scholarship honors an Integrated Life Sciences student who demonstrates exceptional achievement, service in life-science-related areas, and a clear commitment to a medical career. This year’s awardee is Amrutha Alibilli, a neuroscience double major with minors in Spanish and data science.
