Honors College Research Grant

The Honors College Research Grant is awarded to students conducting research in more than 40 departmental Honors programs across campus. These grants support students as they pursue their research questions with the support of a faculty mentor.

David Goff Scholarship

The David Goff Scholarship is awarded every year to a student in the Integrated Life Sciences program who has demonstrated qualities of outstanding achievement, generosity, and service in areas related to the life sciences, as well as a commitment to pursuing a career in medicine. This scholarship is made possible by the generous donation of Michael and Ellen Glazer in the memory of their close friend, Dr. David Goff, who was a podiatrist from Montgomery County, Maryland.

Portz Outstanding Honors Student Awards

The Portz Outstanding Honors Student Award was established in 1978 in honor of the first director of the General Honors program, Professor John Portz, who served in the role from 1966 to 1978 and who believed that student engagement and leadership were critical to the Honors experience. The Portz award is given annually to one student from each of our Honors College living-learning programs who combines exceptional academic achievement with outstanding service or accomplishments outside the classroom.
