Applications for Kesem at University of Maryland’s Executive Board are open until July 24. Kesem is a nationwide nonprofit organization that supports kids through and beyond a parent’s cancer. While their main programming includes a free week-long sleepaway camp for kids in the DMV, they also provide year-round programming, reunions and individualized support depending on the needs of families.
Being a part of Kesem’s Executive Board means you get to play a hands-on role in the functioning of the chapter. Not only will you have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of children affected by a parent’s cancer, but you will also make lifelong friendships along the way.
Serving on the Executive Board requires a 3-5 hour commitment per week, depending on the position.
There is availability in EVERY position, and prior involvement in Kesem at University of Maryland is NOT required. For a detailed description for each position, see the link below: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BvcVhbnMdVn4Sc2Klsqz4KMmhNw3JXTys4ao21hL72E/edit
The application can be found at https://forms.gle/t3JcsQGXmYPna6767. Applications are due on Monday, July 24th at 11:59 PM.
