Maybe you’re interested in a career in tech and trying to figure out where to start. Or maybe you want to learn skills that will make you a competitive applicant in the future job market – regardless of your field.
Meet Break Through Tech DC at UMD – our goal is to create a more inclusive tech ecosystem, starting right here in College Park. We do that by offering programs that help college students like you launch their careers through innovative courses, opportunities to work with tech companies, and networking events with like-minded students and working professionals.
Guild is one of Break Through Tech’s signature programs where participants learn how to create real-world, mission-driven applications. All majors are welcome, and no tech experience is needed. In Guild, you’ll:
- Explore design thinking, coding, product design, user experience, and more.
- Connect with a community of students with similar goals in a small cohort setting.
- Network with industry mentors from Microsoft and other organizations.
Guild at UMD will take place July 31-August 4, 2023 (Sessions 1 & 2) and August 7-11, 2023 (Sessions 3 & 4). There is no cost to participate and students receive a $200 stipend for participating. Learn more and apply by Friday, June 20, for best consideration.
