One Tent Health is recruiting volunteers for hands-on, clinical, community-based health services work out in the district. They are a youth-led and youth-driven non-profit organization dedicated to combating the HIV epidemic in DC by offering free, rapid, HIV-screening to DC’s most underserved neighborhoods. Washingon, DC—predominantly the city’s Black and low-income residents—has long suffered through an HIV epidemic. 1.8% of Washingtonians live with the virus and many more still do not know their status.
