DESCRIPTION:The Datathon\, open to ALL UMD students\, is an 11-day-long\, data-focused competition. Students will use their problem-solving\, analytics\, and data visualization skills to pitch a company to investors planning to buy and rent properties in NYC through a popular short-term apartment rental platform. This year’s Datathon will award a total of $6\,000 in cash prizes! \nSign up for the Datathon Interest Event to learn more about the Datathon. \nRegistration closes on April 10\, 2023.

SUMMARY:2023 Pitch Dingman Competition
DESCRIPTION:Pitch Dingman Competition\, the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship’s signature annual Shark Tank-style competition\, provides the university’s most talented student entrepreneurs the opportunity to compete for seed funding and exclusive access to venture development resources. This year\, the Dingman Center is offering more prize money than ever before and a brand new fourth competition track designated exclusively for previous winners of University System of Maryland entrepreneurship competitions. \nPitch Dingman Competition 2023 will be in person on April 18\, 2023\, at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center. Watch as the most talented University of Maryland student entrepreneurs pitch their businesses to a panel of expert judges for a chance to win a part of over $100\,000 in prizes.
