SUMMARY:Terp Sleep Out
DESCRIPTION:Join the School of Public Health Community Thrives Lab and HLTH391 for a Terp Sleep Out event at the School of Public Health from November 22-23. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about homelessness and encourage UMD students to get involved. The event will include educational presentations\, free food\, activities\, a documentary\, and resources on how to take action. Then the group will “sleep out” in a classroom overnight to increase empathy for homeless youth. During these events\, they will be hosting activities in which they will create welcome bags that have nonperishable food items\, personal hygiene items\, and more.
