Welcome to Honors Ambassadors!
Each year, University Honors is committed to recruiting a group of academically talented, diverse, and unique students to the campus. Honors Ambassadors is a student-run group that allows us, current Honors students, to share our enthusiasm about University Honors with you! We represent Honors at open houses, question and answer panels, as well as other recruitment-related events. We serve as the bridge between you and current Honors students, giving you the inside scoop on the University and Honors. We look forward to meeting you and your family. Go Terps!
Honors Ambassadors Host-A-Day
Spend a Day with an Honors Student!
On select dates, Honors Ambassadors will be available to host for a day current high school juniors and seniors who are interested in attending the University of Maryland. Prospective Honors students will be able to get an up-close feel for what a day in the life of an Honors student entails, from classes to campus life. We try our best to match students by academic area of interest, based upon Ambassadors' availability.
Fall 2009 Visitation Dates:
Weekdays, September 28- November 20 (excluding Oct. 12 and 16) within
the hours of 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Requests to be hosted MUST be submitted via electronic mail AT LEAST
2 WEEKS prior to the day you wish to visit. Requests begin on September
14 and end on November 6. While we will do our best to accommodate requests,
we cannot guarantee availability. Spaces will be filled on a first come,
first served basis.

Meet Our Student Coordinators
Hello! I’m Avery Joshua and will be serving as a Student Coordinator
for the 2009-2010 academic year. I am a senior Finance major and have
a minor in International Development and Conflict Management. This is
my third year as a part of the Honors Ambassador organization and I'm
excited about my new role. I know this year will be great! To all prospective
freshmen and parents, feel free to let us know if there’s anything we
can do to help you learn more about UMD and the University Honors College!

Welcome to the Honors website! I'm a junior double Economics and
Business major. Outside of Honors Ambassadors I am involved in many aspects
of Maryland campus life including the Mighty Sound of Maryland Marching
Band and Basketball Pep Band, Community Service Committee, University
Student Judiciary, and Maryland Images. I hope you will use this site
and Honors Ambassadors to help you get a better feel for how great it
is to be a Maryland student! If you have any questions please let us know!

Meet Our Advisor
We are excited that you are visiting our site. As the advisor for
the Honors Ambassadors organization, I am proud to be working with an
exceptional group of enthusiastic, fun, and bright students. They are
an amazing group! Our Honors Ambassadors are a great resource for all
your questions about Honors and the University. I have the pleasure as
