Information for New Students
LLPs enhance the academic experience
Once students are admitted to the Honors College in January, students are matched with a living-learning program. The living-learning programs range from the collaborative research experience of Gemstone (GEMS) and the highly flexible University Honors (UH) - both four years - to the more structured and focused two-year programs Advanced Cybersecurity Experience for Students (ACES), Design Cultures & Creativity (DCC), Entrepreneurship and Innovation (EIP), Honors Humanities (HH) and Integrated Life Sciences (ILS).
Through living-learning programs, students gain valuable experience in fields outside of their academic major or acquire insight into fields more closely related to their field of study. To learn more about the seven living-learning programs, please read about them, watch program videos, and consider some advice from current students.
